A history of abatractions

The house was built in 1910, and served many purposes throughout its history including being a residential building, recording studio, cafe, restaurant, art gallery and live music venue. The name was initially given by the Biefeni family who founded the first iteration of Abstractions Cafe. Bistro. In 2003 the Mitri family bought Abstractions Cafe and immigrated to Canada as Entrepreneurs. The Mitri family transformed Abstractions and added their own flavours onto the local food culture. In the traditions of the Assyrians, abstractions celebrates the love for life in food, drinks, people, ART, and music. This love reminds us of our common human experience and rediates through this concept.
